About

Hi and welcome to Purple Introspections, a living journal of our life experiences after our son blindsided us with the decision to leave his life on earth, for heaven, at the age of 23. Our wish here is to offer hope and insight for parents, teens and young adolescents that are walking a similar path, and to circumvent tragedy.

As our story permeated our social circles, many shared similar stories or those of close friends, yet these things are never talked about openly.  The number of people touched by situations so close to our own was alarming. We were not alone, yet we were.

We want to change that and to change our perspectives. In this blog, we will share experiences and introspections leading up to and after our son’s departure. Some of this will tug at your hearts, some of this will read like fantasy. We hope by sharing our situation we will open eyes, and above all, save a life.

Why purple introspection?

Purple was our son’s favorite color and it’s our way of connecting with him and also his way of connecting with us. He’s helping us puzzle out what happened and where to go next, and he’s charging us to reach out to young adults and parents with his message. He is on it and so are we.

With loving and healing hearts,
Francie and Tony
